About us
About our non-profit care centre in Port Shepstone
01— Our story
The Word of God Care Centre NPC started from a simple conviction: people living with mental illness deserve a safe home, good care and to be treated with dignity. Today we care for around 50 adults in a former school hostel at Betania Farm Mission Station, rented from the church. It is not a hospital. It is a home, with caregivers on duty day and night.
Every day, our team cooks in the centre's own kitchen, keeps the routines that give residents stability, and walks alongside families, clinics and social workers. See what daily care looks like.

02— Vision & mission
“To be a trusted provider of compassionate, quality residential and mental health care that restores hope, protects dignity and promotes wellbeing and independence.”
Our vision
“To provide safe, person-centred residential care through compassionate caregiving, responsible management, healthcare referrals, rehabilitation activities and partnerships with government, churches, donors and the community.”
